Written By Dezi Loochkartt 29 Mar 2022
Sweet Cherry Pie
  • 4 cups fresh or frozen tart cherries
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1-3 drops (subjective) OOOFlavors Almond Flavoring
  • 1-3 drops (subjective) OOOFlavors Cherry Pie Flavoring
  • Your favorite pie crust
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp butter, to dot
  • 1 Tbsp granulated sugar, to sprinkle
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Place cherries in saucepan over heat and cover. After a few minutes, when cherries become very juicy, remove from heat. In a bowl mix the sugar and cornstarch together and pour into the hot cherries, mixing well. Add the OOOFlavors Almond Flavoring and the OOOFlavors Cherry Pie Flavoring, then mix. Return to stove on low heat until it has thickened. Remove from stove and allow to cool.
  3. Using your pie crust, place one in a pie pan and pour in the cooled cherries. Dot with butter and lightly moisten the edges of the crust. Cut the other pie crust into strips and place in pattern on top of pie and pinch the edges together. Lightly sprinkle with sugar.
